Amongst Australia's best for cheese, Hunter Belle Cheese produces unique, artisan cheese products from the milk of Brown Swiss Cows. All of the cheese at Hunter Belle is hand made using traditional methods, which results in the quality cheese that is loved by foodies around the country.

In 2004 Hunter Belle Cheese was established. In 2008 the Chesworth Family, after 6 generations of milking cows on the banks of the Hunter River, decided they needed a change but were still passionate about the dairy industry. They made the decision to sell their much loved dairy and become the new owners of Hunter Belle Cheese. They say as one door closes another will open and that was certainly the case in this instance.

Hunter Belle continued to produce its quality handmade cheese, but the business quickly began growing, moving more into wholesale trade and becoming a big part of Hunter Valley tourism, but more exciting things were ahead.

In 2010 Hunter Belle Café was born and this gave Hunter Belle Cheese a welcoming front door to entice the public.  Not only did this give the business the opportunity to showcase their cheese throughout a café menu, but it allowed them to begin educating the public in the dairy industry.

Viewing windows into the cheese making room, maturation room and packing room, allow visitors to understand how cheese is made, while a wall mural shows the entire production line of the dairy industry. The main attraction however is "Bessie" a life-size Fibreglass cow that can be hand milked, showing first hand exactly where milk comes from.

This may have helped the Herb & Garlic Fetabelle to win three silver medals in 2012, 2013 and 2014 at the Royal Sydney Dairy Show with no gold medals awarded either year.

2011 saw the introduction of our Club Cheddar range, led by our famous Beer Cheese, a combination of great hand crafted hunter beer with the best cheese Hunter Belle can offer make this a sure bet when it comes to taste.

As Hunter Belle Continues to grow new products and cheeses are planned to be feature but the best things will always be constant... Great Cheese, beautiful taste, unique origin and service to our customers will be second to none.
